Røros, known as "Bergstaden" (the Mining Town), is a unique UNESCO World Heritage town in Trøndelag (established 1644) with historic wooden buildings from the 17th and 18th centuries.

The town is located 628 meters above sea level, has approximately 333 years of mining history, and is known for Rørosmartnan (the Røros Fair), local food, Olavsgruva (Olav's Mine), and a charming town center where people still live and work.
